It's difficult for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

This is the team that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a team that has won it all.

That it took up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over the past 50 years.

It's difficult for their batsmen to maintain a record if not provided the opportunity.

In the end, the outcome of Australia allowing 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy getting an opportunity to create her most recent brilliance.

Then best known as the teenage relative of famous ex Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after Australia failed to win either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups held the previous year and has experienced everything through 15 championship-filled years since.

A T20 championship victory happened three months after her debut and seven international trophies have resulted from 10 tries across formats.

The determined wicketkeeper was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India briefly halted the run of success.

That loss "pushed us to rethink our standards," Healy commented earlier.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the championship match and was declared player of the series. She made sure her country would not fall short again.

The question of whether this recent magnificent innings exceeded that prior achievement can be debated.

Some will argue the reasoning behind the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the test that comes when confronting a historic chase and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's clear is this century was much more difficult to see coming.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 occurred when she topped the run-scoring charts, but this performance was preceded by six games in India over the past few weeks in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"If you've been watching me in the nets, it has been a disappointing period because it seemed I've had no rhythm at all," commented Healy.

"But once you take the field, your fighting spirit take over and you just lock into the competition."

Healy's fighting spirit has continuously been her key asset - and an invaluable trait in taking over from legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, out to the young fast bowler in each encounter, but this time it merely gave Healy's motivation.

A single was taken off Gaud's first delivery and from that point the batsman was in motion.

"A chance to go out there and face the challenge with her and just have a bit of fun that way, somewhat inspired me," commented Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 balls - her fastest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 deliveries while she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three sixes.

By the time she was dismissed her side required another 66 at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I'm happy we have the assurance to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we know we can achieve it."

These statements will be the final thing rival teams at this tournament should hear.

During the last week a sense they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this triumph coming after success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a match Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the first time at a significant event.

Such is her determination, she afterwards commented she wished she had played with the discomfort.

But while she afterwards confessed those physical issues have delayed thoughts of retirement, this championship is likely to be her last as captain in one-day cricket and she is still to achieve a global event as leader.

Victory in India would lead her to the peak of her ultimate challenge.
